Search and Rescue Area Lighting Solutions

Search and rescue area lighting solutions are developed to illuminate large areas rapidly during earthquakes, floods and fires, and during night-time field operations. Independent of the mains supply, these systems stand out for being portable and deployable within minutes.

The ZBS area lighting family comprises MB 1, a wheeled case with twin telescopic masts; MB 2, a multi-purpose LED luminaire; and LUXENDRO, a portable unit with stepped output between 100 and 6,000 lumens.

The products are suitable for disaster response teams, fire brigades, municipalities, mining and infrastructure work — anywhere uninterrupted lighting is critical. Li-ion battery technology delivers between 3 and 60 hours of operation.

About Search and Rescue Area Lighting Solutions

The questions our project team is asked most often. If you cannot find what you need, get in touch.

How long do the area lighting units operate?
MB 1 runs for between 3 and 24 hours depending on the selected light level. LUXENDRO provides 2 hours 40 minutes at maximum output and up to 60 hours at minimum output.
Can the area lighting units be used while charging?
Yes. When the battery is depleted or running low, MB 1 can be connected to its charger to charge and continue providing light at approximately 20% output at the same time. The case must be kept open while charging.
