Emergency Exit Sign Luminaires
Emergency exit sign luminaires are self-contained, battery-backed signage luminaires that direct occupants to the nearest exit during a power failure, fire or earthquake. They are mandatory on escape routes, stair landings and above exit doors under fire safety regulations and the TS EN 1838 / EN 60598-2-22 standards.
At our production facility in İzmir, Türkiye we manufacture three exit sign families: S-LITE, S-BOX and Z-LITE. We offer aluminium, metal and ABS housing options; sizes from 26 cm to 65 cm; single and double-sided versions; and surface, recessed, chain-suspended and bracket mounting alternatives.
All exit sign luminaires use LED light sources, include a charge indicator LED and a manual test button, are CE and ISO 9001:2015 certified and carry a 2-year warranty. The LiFePO4 battery option provides long cycle life even at elevated temperatures.

At what spacing should emergency exit sign luminaires be installed?
The viewing distance depends on the housing size. For the S-LITE range it is 24 m for the 26 cm model, 28 m for the 30 cm model, 34 m for the 39 cm model and 38 m for the 45 cm model. The distance between two exit signs on an escape route must not exceed the viewing distance of the selected model.
How long must emergency exit sign luminaires stay lit?
Fire safety regulations require emergency lighting and exit signage to operate for at least 60 minutes. ZBS products are manufactured with 60 and 180 minute options; the 180-minute versions are preferred in higher-risk buildings.
What is the difference between maintained and non-maintained operation?
In maintained (permanent) mode the luminaire is lit while the mains supply is present and continues on battery power during an outage. In non-maintained mode it only activates when the mains fails. Maintained mode is generally preferred for escape route marking.
